Cherepovets is to host the 4th International conference devoted to wooden house-building and wood-processing on April 13-14, 2016. A lot of exhibitors and visitors are expected to come to Cherepovets to attend the exhibition to see the variety of houses made of timber and logs and frame-panel houses.

Vologda’s Governor met with head of Tot’ma District Sergei Selyanin.
The meeting was arranged as part of a series of meetings examining economic and social development of regions.
A delegation from Cherepovets City led by Mayor Yuri Kuzin arrived in Finland on a working visit.
Moroz-Arena, an ice skating centre was officially opened by Olympic medalists and Vologda Oblast Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov. The new sports centre facilities are accessible to all local residents of the district.

The video conference meeting with participation of RF Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, RF Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities Mikhail Men and top leadership of Russian regions had a focus on implementation of the May 2012 Presidential Executive Orders, namely construction of new dwelling houses for resettlement of Russian residents from dilapidated and hazardous dwelling houses.
The main objective of the visit is to discuss Russian-Finnish partnership ties and present investment potential of Cherepovets City. Taking part in the visit events are high-ranking officials of Cherepovets City Hall, representatives of the Cherepovets Investment Agency and entrepreneurs.
Vologda will become home to XIII International drama festival Voices of History from June 26 throughout July 2, 2016.

Gates to the North is an inter-regional event, show and exhibition for the tourism industry. It is held annually with an active backing of the RF Ministry of Culture, RF Tourism Agency, Association of Russian tour operators and Vologda Oblast Government.
