Vologda Oblast Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov took part in a meeting of the Coordination Council of the Vologda branch of the all-Russian public organization "Russian Geographical Society”. Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council, honoured chairman of Russia's non-governmental organization "Russian Geographical Society” Yuri Vorobyov also participated in it.
Vologda Oblast Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov met with Vologda’s students at the Vologda State University. During an hour and a half over 50 students showered the Governor with questions.
The socioeconomic situation in the district was the main objective of the visit.
On January 11 Vologda Oblast Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov handed over the keys of new emergency vehicles to eight districts of the Vologda Oblast.

Year of Ecology is launched in Vologda Region
The first meeting of the local government members chaired by Vologda Oblast Government Oleg Kuvshinnikov was devoted to a plan of events to take place within the framework of the Year of Ecology.
This time of year is traditionally a moment for reflection on the events of the past as well as a chance to look forward beyond the festivities of the New Year celebrations.

Vologda’s Governor opened a new kindergarten in Vytegra District.
The significant event occurred in the District of Vytegra - the opening of a new kindergarten. The preschool institution is designed for 220 places. The new 3-storey day care centre will become home for several groups of kids from eighteen months and six years of age. The new kindergarten is accommodated with musical and sports halls, sports grounds, and a swimming pool.
