The RF Cabinet of Ministers decided to allocate 229 million roubles to the regional government in support of construction and modernization of public roads. All in all, 49 regions of Russia will get RUB 10 bln from the federal treasury.
Russian state decorations have been awarded in Vologda on April 5th.
After St. Petersburg metro explosion Vologda Oblast Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov chaired a meeting of Counter-Terrorism Committee. Mr. Kuvshinnikov asked to strengthen security measures in public transportation and in places of a mass congestion of people.
Agriculture of the Vologda Oblast is represented by hundreds of enterprises of various organizational and legal forms. By virtue of natural conditions and economic factors, the following branches are developed in the region: grain-, potato-, flax-growing and cattle-breeding. Today, when almost 70 percent of agricultural products come from animal husbandry, nearly one-half of all arable land is used for raising feed crops.
On March 16th Mr. Kuvshinnikov came to the District of Vytegra, the oblast's biggest district in terms of total area, as part of a series of visits throughout the Vologda Oblast examining economic and social development of regions.
During the meeting the parties agreed that additional funds from the federal budget will be provided for the Vologda Oblast to construct two schools in the Vologda Region – in Vologda and Cherepovets.
On February 27th Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gazprom Alexey Miller and Governor of the Vologda Region Oleg Kuvshinnikov signed an Agreement of Cooperation as part of the Sochi Investment Forum.
The Russian Investment Forum, the key business event for showcasing Russia’s investment and economic potential, will take place on February 27–28, 2017. The Investment Forum in Sochi is held annually and attracts participants from Russian regions and foreign countries.
Vologda Oblast Governor Mr. Kuvshinnikov heads the Russian National Network Association of Healthy Cities, Regions and Settlements that comprises 44 municipalities, some of them are located in the Vologda Oblast. The Russian network of Healthy Cities has been operating since 2010. It is clearly visible that the Russian Association of Healthy Cities is active and rapidly growing. It covers all several federal districts of Russia with a population of 14 mln people.
On February 14th Vologda Oblast Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov and President of the region Hannover Hauke Jagau signed a protocol of intent.
