Every 3rd Wednesday of the month, exhibition halls and galleries are free of charge in the Vologda Region. The museum admission is free for Vologda’s schoolchildren and students and residents of the region. Entry to the permanent collections of the Vologda State Museum-Preserve and Vologda Picture Gallery is free; while charges may apply for special exhibitions.
From January 1 to September 30 of 2025, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) monitored the export of more than one million cubic meters of timber products from the Vologda Region.
The opening of the International Forest Forum and Exhibition Russian Forest is scheduled for December 5. The business events will be held in the Russky Dom exhibition complex and in the buildings of the Vologda Region Government.
The award ceremony took place at the Beethoven Hall of the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. Tatyana Golikova, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, addressed the laureates with a welcoming speech.

Export of timber products from Vologda to Armenia increased by 60%.
Since the beginning of 2025, exports of timber products from the Vologda Region to Armenia have reached 4.000 cubic meters. This is 60% more than in the same period last year, when 2,500 cubic meters were delivered to this country.
This is a special day for the appreciation of teachers that is observed in Russia on October 5.

On October 25 Vologda Region is to celebrate a Vologda Butter Day.
Every region has its claim to fame, but there's none sweeter than Vologda's position as Russia's butter capital.
The creative project is aimed at preserving cultural identity, creating conditions for the development of traditional folk culture and promoting the cultural and historical heritage of the Vologda Region and various regions of Russia.
