Vologda’s Department of Economic Development informs about international exhibitions in the  Czech Republic in 2015.

The main exhibition event in the Czech Republic will be the 57th International Engineering Fair (MSV). It is the leading industrial trade fair in Central Europe with annual participation reaching more than 1800 exhibitors and 75000 visitors from 60 countries worldwide. More than a third of the exhibitors are from abroad. All nine of the key specialist sectors of the engineering industry are very well represented.

A project called “Vologda-New Year Capital of Russia’s North” will be launched in Vologda on Sunday.

A project under the heading “New Year Capital” was launched in Russia two years ago. It was initiated by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation in 2013. Kazan was chosen as the first such capital. Every year a board of experts will select such capital, where the New Year will be celebrated in a special way, because every Russian city has its own traditions of celebrating. The All-Russian project “New Year Capital of Russia” is designed to stimulate the development of domestic tourism.

The joint session of the State Council and the Presidential Council for Culture and Art chaired by RF President was devoted to implementation of the state cultural policy.

Vologda Oblast was awarded for special merits in the promotion of investment image abroad.

The award was received by Deputy Governor Alexei Kozhevnikov. The Vologda Region cooperates with foreign investors and implements joint investment projects.
