To begin with, Vologda Oblast Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony of a plywood-producing plant Ustye-les that was indicated as a priority investment project in the Vologda Region. All the equipment installed at the plant is produced in Russia. The top leadership of the plant noted that the Vologda Region is the leader in the number of projects implemented in the timber industry. The region ranks first in the production of chipboard, it is the second largest producer of raw wood, and takes the third place in the production of plywood.

A business park is scheduled to open in Vologda in 2020.
A meeting of the Experts’ Council of the Vologda Oblast Development Corporation took place in the Vologda Oblast Government on August 12th. The participants of the meeting approved of an idea of creating a business park in which many office buildings are grouped together. It will emerge in Vologda in 2020.
