Vologda Oblast Governor arrived in Belarus to participate in 3rd Belarus-Russia Forum of Regions.

The 3rd Belarus-Russia Forum of Regions kicked off in Minsk on June 7th. It will last for two days.

From June 26 throughout July 2, 2016 Vologda will become home to XIII International drama festival Voices of History.

The festival Voices of History, which emerged in 1991 as a review of the performances of professional theatres in the historical and architectural ensemble of the unique environment of the Vologda Kremlin has long been a hallmark of the Vologda Region, a favourite festival of all theatre-goers. In 2003 it received an international status. The theatre festival is held every two years in June.

Vologda enters top ten cities of Russia for family trips in summertime.

Vologda City has made the top 10 list of Russia's most popular destinations for families with children this summer, according to a study conducted by travel website Travel.ru.

Tønder is a city in Denmark (South Jutland) that had an important lace industry in the 17th and 18th centuries. Say the word “lace" and Danes think of Tønder. Lacemaking has always been a specifically Danish industry.
