Vologda and Strasbourg strive to extend the cooperation agreement.
Vologda City and Strasbourg have been sustaining partnership ties since 2008. The renewable 3-year framework cooperation agreement between Strasbourg and Vologda was signed on 6 December 2009, by the mayors of the two cities. The aims of the agreement are set out around three main themes:

The young accordionist, graduate of the Vologda Musical College Alexander Komelkov appeared among the best performers in the 69th international accordionists’ competition CIA Intl. Masters Coupe Mondiale organised in Rostov-on-Don, Russia on 11th - 16th September, 2016.
