The French city of Strasbourg hosted the 5th edition of the music festival "Spiritual Days" from February 2 to 5, 2017. 11 countries (France, Germany, Russia, Mongolia, Nepal, India, Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, Morocco, Algeria), representing 5 religions (Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam and Judaism) took part in the festival.

Vologda Oblast is stepping up cooperation with Germany
On February 14th Vologda Oblast Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov and President of the region Hannover Hauke Jagau signed a protocol of intent.
A delegation from the Vologda Oblast received 24 medals at the international exhibition. Vologda’s producers were also awarded for contribution to the development of the food industry of Russia and for the high quality of products.

Vologda optical-and-mechanical plant continues deliveries to Italy.
The Vologda optical-and-mechanical plant manufactures optical-electronic and thermal imaging products for the defense industry and optical-electronic devices of medical and civil designation. It offers rifle scopes, night vision rifle scopes, mounts for rifle scopes, mounts for night vision rifle scopes, side support mounts with lath, transient laths, magnifiers, devices for forest management and topographic works, cooking equipment, and medical equipment.
Shrovetide (a pancake week) will be celebrated in Vologda with pancakes, fun songs, games, sledging, and other entertainment activities from Monday February 20th to Sunday February 26th.
