Every year, the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum serves as a platform for the discussion of key issues in the world economy, regional integration, and the development of new industrial and technological sectors, as well as of the global challenges facing Russia and other nations.
The agreement of intent was signed by the top leadership of the Vologda Region and Novgorod Region.
Within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum Mr. Kuvshinnikov met with top leadership of Sistema, the publicly-traded diversified holding company in Russia and the CIS. The main objective of the meeting was to discuss development of timber industry in the Vologda Region.

On the first day of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum the top leadership of the Vologda Region Government, Vnesheconombank and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives signed a Memorandum of cooperation. The document envisages cooperation of the parties in support of investment activities in the Vologda Region.

The 22nd St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will take place from May 24-26, 2018. It will once again demonstrate Russia’s readiness to hold a mutually beneficial dialogue with the international community on the key issues of the global agenda concerning the economy and finances.
At 6.30 pm, Oleg Kuvshinnikov and head of the Department of Education will hold a direct communication session during which they will respond to questions relating to education of the Vologda Region.
