Vologda City has made the top 10 list of Russia's most popular destinations in wintertime, according to a study conducted by the RF Agency for Tourism (Rostourism) and e-services for searching hotels.
The Russian Wood, exhibition for innovation technologies to be applied in the timber industry, in production of technological equipment for forestry and manufacture of wood and wood-working articles, will start its work in Vologda on December 5.
This year, 322 families from 85 regions of the Russian Federation took part in the contest. Winners were selected in five categories: Large Family, Young Family, Rural Family, Keeper of Traditions, and the Golden Family of Russia.
VII International Gavrilin Festival is being held in Vologda from October 1 through December 4. It has brought together musicians from Russian regions, the CIS, the Czech Republic and the USA. The programme of the festival includes almost 75 concerts, master classes and other festival events.
