The fourth International Trade Fair for Preservation, Restoration and Museum Technology Denkmal Russia-Moscow 2017 took place on November 8-10th in the heart of the Russian capital, at the exhibition site Gostiniy Dvor.
“Rendezvous with Russia”, a three-day international film festival, will be opened on December 13-15 in the Vologda Region, featuring around 30 Russian and foreign films, documentaries and animated movies. The festival hopes to boost tourism in the region, hosting round table discussions to debate the future of the local tourist industry.

On November 4th Vologda Region will mark National Unity Day.
The public holiday was established in honour of events of 1612 when Russian voluntary troops commanded by Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky liberated Moscow from foreign invaders. In the church calendar this is Day of Our Lady of Kazan whose icon was the main relic of the voluntary troops. In 2005, the Russian government made November 4th a public holiday.
