Russky Sever National Park (Russian North) located in Kirillov District enters top 10 Russian parks.

The Vologda Region enters the list of Russia's most popular parks and national preserves, according to a study conducted by TourStat agency.

An international photo festival will be held in Kirillov (Vologda Oblast) on June 6-10.

The international photo festival has been created by the Russian Photo Union. Its aim is to gather photographers from around the world, turning the town of Kirillov into an international centre of artistic expression focusing on photography. It will involve international artists from such countries as Russia, Ukraine, France, Germany, the Chinese People’s Republic and Kazakhstan.

William C. Brumfield, Tulane professor of Slavic studies (USA) gave a lecture on Russian architecture at Vologda Region Research Library today.

William Craft Brumfield is one of the leading western specialists on the history of Russian architecture, professor of Slavic studies at Tulane University in New Orleans, and honorary fellow of both the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences and the Russian Academy of the Arts.

Vologda City is hosting Fort Ross Dialogue forum on June 2-4.

Fort Ross Dialogue is an independent forum where Americans and Russians meet in a constructive atmosphere to encourage conversation and collaboration. This event is sponsored by Chevron, Transneft, and Sovcomflot.

Vologda City will play host to Fort Ross Dialogue forum on June 2-4.

Since 2012 the venue of the annual international forum has always been the Fort Ross California Historic Park, founded by Russian merchants from the Vologda Region at the beginning of the 19th century. Its participants are Russian and American politicians, representatives of the Russian Geographical Society, experts and entrepreneurs from both countries.

On May 30th Vologda joined National Forest Planting Day.

The National Forest Planting Day was proclaimed eight years ago. The Day celebrates and raises awareness of the importance of all types of forests.
