A press breakfast was held as part of a series of meetings of Vologda’s journalists with top leadership of the Vologda Oblast Government.
Vologda hosted an international conference on road safety on 3 July. Representatives from the Swedish Transport Administration arrived in Vologda to participate in it. The conference marks the starting point for continued collaboration on road safety. Among the participants of the conference there were road and transportation department executives, infrastructure developers, financial institutions, financial and legal advisors.
Investments in the project amounted to 1.9 billion rubles, said Marcial Rolland, Nestlé’s CEO in Russia and Eurasia region.
11 teachers will come to Vologda, where they will be trained in the framework of an additional educational program "Russian as a foreign language".
The III Global Fishery Forum and International Exhibition of Fish Industry, Seafood and Technology was held from 10 to 12 July in St. Petersburg, at the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre.
On June 20th the annual special Direct Line with RF President Vladimir Putin was broadcast live by Channel One, Rossiya 1, Rossiya 24, NTV, Public Television of Russia (OTR) and Mir TV channels, and Mayak, Vesti FM and Radio Rossii radio stations. During a four-hour Direct Line Mr. Putin answered questions of residents of many Russian regions.
Vologda traditionally celebrates its founding during the last weekend in June. This year the city celebrates its 872nd birthday. The city will celebrate its birthday for 3 days from June 27, but the most important events will take place on June 29th.
In the course of 2019 Russian Theatre Union will organise eight Theatre Forums, one in every region of the Russian Federation, with a common title "Russian Theatre in the XXI Century. New Perspective". One of the forums will be held in Vologda from June 30 throughout July 4.
The creative project is aimed at preserving cultural identity, creating conditions for the development of traditional folk culture and promoting the cultural and historical heritage.
