Vologda City played host to the second edition of the International Folk Crafts Festival “City of Crafts” on June 14-16. The festival gathered craftsmen from 40 Russian regions and from 6 foreign countries - Germany, Belarus, Armenia, Estonia, Bulgaria and Uzbekistan.
On June 11th the Vologda Philharmonic Society presented the famous pair - Italian bandoneon virtuoso Gianni Iorio with pianist Pasquale Stafano in a program consisting largely of Argentine tango and jazz.

Vologda Ice-cream company annually produces 30 thousand tons of most delicious ice cream. Chocolate ice, ice cream in small waffle briquettes, ice cream with waffle cups, fruity ice-cream – over 250 types all in all are produced by the Vologda Ice-Cream.
An international photo festival was held in Kirillov on June 6th-10th. Its aim was to gather photographers from around the world, turning the town of Kirillov into an international centre of artistic expression focusing on photography. It involved international artists from such countries as Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.

According to the agreements signed during SPIEF-2019, the total investments into the economy of the Vologda Region will amount to RUR 20 billion in the coming years. The programme of the forum was intense. The delegation from the Vologda Oblast held numerous meetings and signed several agreements.
