Victory Train, an immersive museum of the Great Patriotic War  will arrive in Vologda on February 17.

The Victory Train will stay in Vologda until February 19. After that, it will travel to Cherepovets, Vologda Region. This unique historical museum keeps the memory of those who defended our country during the Great Patriotic War.

Russian Flax, an interregional exhibition of Russia's rich heritage in flax and linen production, will start in Vologda on February 18.

The exhibition "Russian Flax" will display the breadth of applications of flax products and encourage increased regional development of flax fiber.

Maslenitsa festival to be held on February 16-22.

From February 16 to February 22, Vologda will host the Maslenitsa festival as a part of the Winter in the Russian North project.

Kirillov is preparing for a winter extreme festival.

The festival "In the Snows of Kirillov" is held within the framework of the project "Winter of the Russian North" initiated by Vologda Region Governor Georgy Filimonov .

 In January 2026, Vologda Region exported 95 500 cubic meters of timber products to 20 countries.

Since the beginning of 2026, export of timber products from the Vologda Region has reached 95 500 cubic meters. This is 7,5% more than in the same period last year, when 88 800 cubic meters were delivered to foreign countries.

Governor Georgy Filimonov congratulated Vologda’s scholars on the Day of Russian Science.

On February 8th the Day of Russian Science is celebrated in the Russian Federation. It was established in 1999 by a presidential decree in honour of the 275th anniversary of the establishment of the Academy of Sciences in Russia. On this day in 1724, Emperor Peter I signed a decree on the formation of the Russian Academy of Sciences, which was initially called the Academy of Sciences and Arts.

Over 10,200 people visited All-Russian Horse Festival "Russian Troika" in Vologda District.

The festival took place as part of the Winter of the Russian North project initiated by Vologda Region Governor Georgy Filimonov. It is not just a celebration of horse breeding and traditions - it is an important element of promoting the cultural and tourist potential of the Vologda Region.

700 kg of Ivan tea has been sent  from Vologda Region to Moldova.

The North-Western Interregional Administration of the Rosselkhoznadzor has monitored a batch of Ivan tea exported from the Vologda Region to Moldova.
