Vologda will become home to the VOICES Festival on July 4-9.
The VOICES (Vologda Independent Cinema from European Screens) Festival will hold its 10th edition in Vologda City.
Every 3rd Wednesday of the month, exhibition halls and galleries are free of charge in the Vologda Region.
During SPIEF-2023 the Vologda Region’s forum agreements were signed to the tune of RUB 31 billion. The programme of the forum was intense. The delegation from the Vologda Region held over 30 meetings and signed 10 agreements.

Segezha Group is to build a new paper machine in Vologda Region.
Vologda Region Governor Oleg Kuvsinnikov and Mikhail Shamolin, President of the Segezha group signed a treaty on cooperation within the framework of XXVI St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The parties agreed to build a new paper machine at the group’s paper factory in Sokol, Vologda region.
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) is the main annual international economic and business forum convened in Russia. It provides a platform for the discussion of topics central to the world’s economy.
The work is carried out within the framework of the regional project "Export of agricultural products" of the national project "International Cooperation and Export".
The Pushkinskaya Karta project (Pushkin cards) which provides Russian young people with free access to the treasures of Russian culture and traditional values started working on September 1, 2021.
The festival is aimed at popularization of folk arts and handicrafts. It will be arranged with an active backing of the Vologda City Administration and a Handicrafts Centre “Reznoi Palisad (Carved Fence)”.
Vologda traditionally celebrates its founding during the last weekend in June. This year the city celebrates its 876th birthday. The city will celebrate its birthday for 2 days from June 24.
