New Year and Christmas festivities in Vologda Region are in full swing.

The annual "Winter of the Russian North" festival brings a rich program of festive events and concerts from late December through mid-January, featuring themed activities and New Year's celebrations.

More than 24 kg of sturgeon caviar was sent from Vologda Region to Mongolia and India.

On December 23, 290 glass jars and tin cans of sturgeon caviar (19.3 kg) were sent by plane to Ulaanbaatar, the capital and most populous city of Mongolia and a batch of 175 tin cans (5 kg) proceeded to the airport of the Indian city of Mumbai. The product met all the veterinary requirements of the recipient countries.

Ded Moroz's fairy-tale train from Veliky Ustyug will end its New Year's journey on January 11.

The train is a special project of Russian Railways and the Vologda Region Government. Ded Moroz in his mobile residence travels to Russian cities, congratulates children, and fulfills their wishes. It was introduced on December 5, 2021.

37.3 cubic meters of of glued plywood were exported from Vologda Region to India.

All products passed the necessary control and fully complied with the veterinary and sanitary requirements of the importing country.

Winter of the Russian North: Horse Festival Russian Troika is to be held in Vologda District in February 2026.

Export of glued plywood from Vologda Region increased by 22%.

Since the beginning of this year, 215 shipments of glued plywood (8.200 cubic meters) have been exported from the Vologda Region to 12 countries.
