Export of Vologda’s timber to Egypt increased 2.3 times.
From January 1 to October 11, 2024, 86.2 thousand cubic meters of hardwood and coniferous lumber harvested by Vologda's enterprises were sent to Egypt.
A large-scale project "Summer of the Russian North" was launched on the initiative of Governor Georgy Filimonov. About 4500 events covering different genres and styles of music, literature, crafts and theatre were held within the framework of the "Summer of the Russian North" project.
The Vologda Region continues ongoing expansion of its sales geographically and in terms of export volume. It is carried out within the framework of the regional project "Export of Agricultural products" of the national project "International Cooperation and Export" initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
A delegation from the Vologda Region was led by Chairman of the Vologda Region Government Alexander Mordvinov. The delegation also included representatives of the Department of Economic Development, the Department of Foreign Economic Relations, International and Interregional Cooperation and the Export Support Centre of the region.
