Vologda City will play host to the International Folk Crafts Festival “City of Crafts” on June 27-30. The festival will gather craftsmen from Russian regions and foreign countries.
In January-February 2024, Vologda’s timber producers exported timber to China (161.800 cu m), Iraq (8.100 cu m), South Korea (6.700 cu m), India (5.700 cu m) and Turkey (5.400 cu m).

Georgy Filimonov casts ballot in Russian presidential vote.
Acting Governor Georgy Filimonov has cast his ballot in the presidential vote.
"The authorities of the Vologda Region are planning to open new countries to expand export business. We are working on such export strategies as delivery of powdered milk to North Africa, ice cream to China, confectionery to the Middle East, sturgeon caviar to the Persian Gulf countries and China," said Georgy Filimonov, Acting Governor of the Vologda Region.

Maslenitsa in Vologda: party like a real Russian!
Maslenitsa festival (Pancake week) that is held in Vologda till March, 17 is a great opportunity to learn the ancient Slavic traditions and to have a lot of fun participating in action games.

The festival "Voices of History", which emerged in 1991 as a review of the performances of professional theatres in the historical and architectural ensemble of the unique environment of the Vologda Kremlin has long been a hallmark of the Vologda Region, a favourite festival of all theatre-goers.
Georgy Filimonov will hold a direct communication session during which he will respond to questions from citizens of the Vologda Region.
