Delegation from Finland is to arrive in Vologda Region on a two-day duration visit on February 3rd.

On January 24th Russian biathletes won gold medals in the men's relay race at the 2015-16 Biathlon World Cup 6 in Antholz-Anterselva, Italy. The members of the Russian team were Anton Shipulin, Dmitry Malyshko, Yevgeny Garanichev and Maxim Tsvetkov.

Vologda and the USA strive to boost cultural cooperation.

Public Affairs Officer of US Consulate General in St. Petersburg Suzanne Bodoin paid a visit to Vologda, Tot’ma and Kirillov on January 14-16, 2015. Vologda-born biathlete Maxim Tsvetkov won the first award in career races, becoming the second in the sprint at the sixth stage of the world Cup - 2015/16, which takes place in the Italian Anterselva.

Victory in the sprint was won by the German Simon Schempp, passing the distance of 10 km in 23 minutes 1.2 seconds, not allowing a single miss. Maxim Tsvetkov was behind the winner in 5.8 seconds (0 misses). The third place was taken by the Norwegian Tarjei Boe (lag to 10.8; 0 misses).

An oncological complex, one of the most "cutting-edge" of its kind in Russia’s North-West was opened in Vologda today.
