On July 8 a delegation from the Vologda Region arrived in Helsinki to present its tourism potential and handicrafts. Together with Vologda, several regions of Russia’s North-West presented Silver Necklace of Russia, a unique tourism product (brand) consisting of chain of routes crossing ancient Russian cities with unique historical and cultural heritage of Northwest Russia.
Black caviar is one of the most expensive food products in the world. The Vologda Region produces black caviar at the only enterprise, Diana, which is a part of the Russian Caviar House group of companies. Vologda Oblast Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov visited the plant and met its top leadership.
