Gazprom and Vologda Oblast have signed Agreement of Cooperation.
On February 27th Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gazprom Alexey Miller and Governor of the Vologda Region Oleg Kuvshinnikov signed an Agreement of Cooperation as part of the Sochi Investment Forum.
The State Museum of Political History of Russia, a historical and political museum, located in Saint Petersburg, Russia will host an exposition dedicated to Varlam Shalamov on March 3rd-April 16th. The exhibition is dedicated to the life and work of Varlam Shalamov. Its German curators, Kristina Links and Wilfred F. Scheller, worked on developing the exhibition over several years in close collaboration with Russian museums and archives.

Vologda Region is in the top 5 ecotourism destinations in Russia.
Other Russian regions in the list Russia's most popular regions where ecotourism is highly developed are Primorye, Krasnoyarsk Region, Moscow Region, Altai, Karelia, Khakasiya, Buryatiya, Komi and Kamchatka.
The Russian Investment Forum, the key business event for showcasing Russia’s investment and economic potential, will take place on February 27–28, 2017. The Investment Forum in Sochi is held annually and attracts participants from Russian regions and foreign countries.
The 6th All-Russian Ex-libris Congress will feature ex-libris creations from many Russian regions and CIS-countries. After the congress all the works will be donated to the Vologda Picture Gallery.

Vologda Maslenitsa: party like a real Russian!
Maslenitsa festival (Pancake week) that is held in Vologda till February, 26 is a great opportunity to learn the ancient Slavic traditions and to have a lot of fun participating in action games.
The French city of Strasbourg hosted the 5th edition of the music festival "Spiritual Days" from February 2 to 5, 2017. 11 countries (France, Germany, Russia, Mongolia, Nepal, India, Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, Morocco, Algeria), representing 5 religions (Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam and Judaism) took part in the festival.
Russian Pancake week called "Maslyanitsa" will be celebrated from Monday February 20th to Sunday February 26th.
