Swiss Nestle, one of the world's largest food producers, has launched a factory in Russia for the production of infant formula. Investments in the project amounted to 1.9 billion rubles, said the head of Nestle in the Russia - Eurasia region, Marcial Rolland to "Interfax".

Severstal acquires 26% stake in joint venture with Linde

PAO Severstal announces that it has signed an agreement to purchase a share in a joint venture (JV) with Germany’s Linde AG. The JV produces coil-wound heat exchangers for use at medium-scale and large-scale LNG plants. Upon completion of the transaction Severstal will control a 26% stake, and Linde a 74% stake in the joint venture.

Moscow – Andrey Guryev, the CEO of PhosAgro and Head of the Russian Fertilizer Producers Association (RFPA), has been unanimously elected as Chairman of the Russia-Brazil Business Council. He replaces VEB.RF Deputy Chairman Sergey Vasiliev, who had headed up the Council since 2009.

William Brumfield—a historian, photographer and professor of Slavic studies at Tulane University in New Orleans—has for many years been occupied with the study and popularization of Russian architectural monuments, with particular emphasis on the Russian Norh and the Vologda territory. During the past week he met on two occasions with Vologda residents. The first event was a lecture for students at Vologda State University, who liked he American Slavist for his engaged interest. The following event was a meeting with the general public in the recently renovated Rare Books Hall of the Vologda Regional Library.
