The Russia International Exhibition and Forum opened on November 4, Day of National Unity at VDNH, Moscow. The exhibition presents stands of all 89 regions of Russia. Federal executive bodies, nonprofit organisations, state corporations, and foreign representatives take part in it.

Vologda Region will mark National Unity Day on November 4.
The public holiday was established in honour of events of 1612 when Russian voluntary troops commanded by Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky liberated Moscow from foreign invaders. In the church calendar this is Day of Our Lady of Kazan whose icon was the main relic of the voluntary troops. In 2005, the Russian government made November 4th a public holiday.

Export of timber from the Vologda Region to Korea has doubled.
3,931 cubic meters of timber harvested by Vologda’s enterprises were exported to the Republic of Korea in October.
