Registration for International Exhibition-Fair Russian Forest is open at https://roslesexpo.ru/.

The Russian Forest, an exhibition for innovation technologies to be applied in the timber industry, in production of technological equipment for forestry and manufacture of wood and wood-working articles, will be held in Vologda on December 6-8, 2023.

Vologda Region is to get over RUR 18 bln from the federal budget.

According to Acting Governor Georgy Filimonov, the means (RUR 18,4 bln) to implement local projects will be allocated in 2024-2026.

About 20 tons of Vologda’s ice cream were delivered to Mongolia and Senegal.

Under the contracts signed, Vologda-based ice cream manufacturer exported about 20 tons of its ice cream notable for natural taste free from vegetable fats to Mongolia and Senegal (12 tons of ice cream were delivered to Mongolia and 7,5 tons to Senegal).

Acting Governor of Vologda Region Georgy Filimonov held a meeting with the former head of the region Oleg Kuvshinnikov who was appointed Member of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly.

“I would like to congratulate you on joining the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. I believe that working as a representative of the executive authority of the Vologda Region will become a new milestone in the development of our region," Mr. Filimonov said.

A large-scale restoration of the Memorial Museum of Peter I has been completed in Vologda.

"About RUB 20 mln rubles were allocated from the regional budget for restoration of the Memorial Museum of Peter I within the framework of the state program "Heritage of the Vologda Region". The work was completed a month ahead of the deadline," said Georgy Filimonov, Acting Governor of the Vologda Region.

Russian Forest, an international fair and exhibition will open with an international conference devoted to acute issues of forest complex development on December 5.

This representative forum becomes an important event in the business calendar of the International Exhibition Russian Forest. It brings together leading forestry experts, environmentalists, representatives of major woodworking enterprises.

Vologda’s museums are offering its residents free access to all permanent exhibits on November 15.

Every 3rd Wednesday of the month, exhibition halls and galleries are free of charge in the Vologda Region. The museum admission is free for Vologda’s schoolchildren and students and residents of the region. Entry to the permanent collections of the Vologda State Museum-Preserve and Vologda Picture Gallery is free; while charges may apply for special exhibitions.
