Festival Summer is coming soon to Vologda Region.
This summer Vologda will host several inter-regional and international events - International Drama Festival Voices of History, International Folk Crafts Festival “City of Crafts” and VOICES Festival (VOlogda Independent Cinema from European Screens).
About 6,000 people are to visit the International Martial Arts Festival in Cherepovets.
An agreement on holding the International Forum "Wood in Architecture" in Vologda was signed within the framework of XXХI International Festival Zodchestvo 2023 held at Gostiny Dvor, Moscow from October 31 until November 02, 2023. This year, for the first time in history, the Wood in Architecture forum will not be held in Moscow.
Vologda will host the International Folk Crafts Festival “City of Crafts” on June 27-30, 2024. Applications for participation in the festival can be sent by May 20 at gorod_remesel@mail.ru.

Renovated Memorial Museum of Peter I will open in summer.
A large-scale restoration of the Memorial Museum of Peter I was completed in Vologda last year.
The 9th of May is a special day for all Russian people. Every family remembers its heroes, proudly shares stories about military and human exploits, which are carefully passed down from generation to generation. Our ancestors preserved and restored a great country. Together they showed incredible courage, dedication and will to live and to win.
Since 2010 the VOICES (Vologda Independent Cinema from European Screens) Festival has been held in Vologda, an old Russian city in northwestern Russia.
Vladimir Putin was inaugurated as President of Russia in a ceremony that took place at the Kremlin on May 7.
In April, 1.9 thousand cubic meters of timber harvested by Vologda’s enterprises were exported to Iran from the Vologda Region. This is more than for the whole past year. (1.6 thousand cubic meters).
