The 26th Russian agro-industrial exhibition Golden Autumn-2024 opened in Moscow today.
The festival is named after Valery Gavrilin, the great Russian composer, People's artist of Russia who was born in Vologda.
XXIII Festival of folk artists and craftsmen of Russia Zhar-Ptitsa-2024 was held on October 2-6. It was attended by craftsmen from 50 regions of Russia and CIS-countries.
Vasily Belov is a Vologda-born writer, poet and dramatist who published more than sixty books.

Vologda’s ice-cream was delivered to Senegal.
Under the contracts signed, the “Vologda Ice-Cream”, Vologda-based ice cream manufacturer, exported 24 tons of its ice-cream to Senegal in September 2024.
The Office of the Rosselkhoznadzor for the Vologda Region controlled the shipment of birch chaga to Vietnam. All products passed quarantine phytosanitary control and comply with international quarantine phytosanitary requirements of the importing country.
