The demonstration of seven Italian films in Vologda will be held on March 9-15 in Salyut cinema house. All films will be shown in original language with Russian subtitles.
The Exhibition-Fair of Folk Crafts “Ladya. Spring Fantasy 2017” was held on March 1-5 in Moscow. Ladya 2017 is the only specialized exhibition in Russia that represents Russian world-known centres of folk art.
In summer 2017 VOICES festival will move from Vologda to St. Petersburg. The organizers of the festival will expand the geography of the event. They are preparing the launch of the country's biggest European film event in St Petersburg. According to the organizers, the VOICES festival will cover two cities now – Vologda and St. Petersburg. In 2018 the VOICES Festival will be held in Vologda again.

Gazprom and Vologda Oblast have signed Agreement of Cooperation.
On February 27th Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gazprom Alexey Miller and Governor of the Vologda Region Oleg Kuvshinnikov signed an Agreement of Cooperation as part of the Sochi Investment Forum.
The State Museum of Political History of Russia, a historical and political museum, located in Saint Petersburg, Russia will host an exposition dedicated to Varlam Shalamov on March 3rd-April 16th. The exhibition is dedicated to the life and work of Varlam Shalamov. Its German curators, Kristina Links and Wilfred F. Scheller, worked on developing the exhibition over several years in close collaboration with Russian museums and archives.
