On January 15th, many of the region's museums and galleries offer free entry in order to have a more diverse range of visitors.

Vologda Region exported more than 1.2 mln cu m of timber in 2024.
According to the preliminary results of 2024, 1 million 276 thousand cubic meters of timber harvested by Vologda's enterprises were exported to foreign countries.

Ded Moroz Train is to arrive in Vologda tomorrow.
In 2024, the Ded Moroz Train set off for a New Year journey on November 19. The train stopped at Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Chita, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Chelyabinsk, Ufa, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Moscow and St. Petersburg and other cities.
