Cherepovets’ art lovers to visit Toulouse-Lautrec's Paris
An exhibition charting the life and work of French artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec has opened at the Art Museum in Cherepovets, Vologda Region.
Shrovetide (a pancake week) will be celebrated in Vologda with pancakes, fun songs, games, sledging, and other entertainment activities from Monday March 4th to Sunday March 10th.

Governor Mr.Kuvshinnikov paid a visit to the District of Chagoda.
On January 30th Vologda Oblast Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov paid a working visit to the District of Chagoda as part of a series of visits throughout the Vologda Oblast examining economic and social development of regions.
This year, many victorious and important battles of World War II mark the 75th anniversary, 75th anniversary of when siege of Oshta was completely removed among them. Residents from the Vologda Region took part in all the battle showing heroism and selflessness.
Vocalist and pianist Shacara Rogers has been performing since the age of five. She holds a Master’s in music (2014) and a Bachelor’s in music (2012) from Howard University. Ms. Rogers is a 2014 graduate of the Kennedy Center’s Betty Carter’s Jazz Ahead program.
The exhibition of Vologda’s lace kicked off in Brest on January 28th and it will last till February, 25.

On January 27th the men skied a 4 x 7.5- kilometer relay in Ulricehamn, Sweden. Russia II took the victory in a time of 1:17:53.2 minutes with Evgeny Belov, Alexander Bessmertnykh, Denis Spitsov and Artem Maltsev.
