In his opening speech, the Governor stressed that in the years to come the Vologda Region is to implement a number of projects improving people's quality of life. “These are construction of new schools, medical institutions and kindergartens, repair of roads and construction of bridges”, Oleg Kuvshinnikov said.
The festival is named after Valery Gavrilin, the great Russian composer, People's artist of Russia who was born in Vologda.
On March 14th Vologda Region Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov paid a working visit to Vologda City.
Representatives of many regions and cities of modern Russia took an active part in the development of North America. The Vologda Region takes a special place among them, as it played an important role in the discovery and development of the Pacific coast of the United States.
The event is organized by St. Petersburg’s branch of the Japanese Centre for the development of trade and economic relations. Hiruma Yasuo will brief on quality control in the production process.
The Russian Seasons festival designed to introduce foreigners to Russian culture was held on March 6-7, 2019. The project was initiated by the Russian Ministry of Culture and the Russian Government.

Exhibition of Vologda’s laces kicked off in Gomel, Belarus.
The exhibition of Vologda’s lace started in Gomel on March 6 and it will last till April, 28.
It is held annually with an active backing of the Vologda Oblast Government. The venue of the Gates to the North is the Exhibition Centre "Russky Dom".
Vocalist and pianist Shacara Rogers has been performing since the age of five. She holds a Master’s in music (2014) and a Bachelor’s in music (2012) from Howard University. Ms. Rogers is a 2014 graduate of the Kennedy Center’s Betty Carter’s Jazz Ahead program. Shacara is currently an adjunct professor of music at Howard University, teaching jazz voice.
A delegation of the Consortium of European Cultures visited Vologda’s branch of the All-Russian Art Research and Restoration Center named after Academician I.E. Grabar.
