Vologda Region increased timber exports to Uzbekistan by 2.5 times.
Since the beginning of the year, 10.7 thousand cubic meters of hardwood and softwood harvested by Vologda's enterprises have been sent to Uzbekistan. This is 2.5 times more than in the same period last year (3.7 thousand cubic meters).

Victory Dictation campaign to be held in Vologda Region on April 25.
The Victory Dictation campaign is an international event that will take place in Russian cities and in many European and CIS countries.
The Vologda Region Governor took part in the 44th Meeting of the Council of Heads of Subjects of the Russian Federation under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
The competition aims to identify the most talented and artistic young musicians and to open opportunities for further professional career. In addition, it will contribute to the strengthening and expansion of international contacts.
Vologda City will become home to XI International Folk Crafts Festival "City of Crafts” on June 12-14, 2025. Applications for participation in the festival can be sent by May 16 at gorod_remesel@mail.ru.
The Cultural Capitals competition began in 2023 and annually takes place in Russia. During the event, a prestigious title is awarded to one city in the country by a panel of experts. Cities with at least 250,000 inhabitants are invited to participate.

Vologda's ice cream exports doubled.
Under the contracts signed, Vologda-based ice cream manufacturer exported 8,000 tons of its ice-cream notable for natural taste free from vegetable fats to Senegal.
