Registration for XXX International Exhibition Russian Forest has begun.

Vologda City is to become home to 30th successive exhibition for innovation technologies to be applied in the timber industry, in production of technological equipment for forestry and manufacture of wood and wood-working articles. The exhibition will be held in Vologda on December 3-5, 2025.

Pushkin Card project will continue to make progress next year.

The Pushkinskaya Karta project (Pushkin cards) which provides Russian young people with free access to the treasures of Russian culture started working on September 1, 2021. Its participants are Russian museums, theaters, concert halls, philharmonic societies, libraries and other centers of culture of federal and local significance, including private ones.

Settlement of Yerofeika (Vologda District) will host the Horse Festival Russian Troika in February 2026.

Russia’s unique horse traditions will be on display during the festival. Russian troikas will demonstrate to the audience the grace and beauty of the multi-allure harness.

Vologda’s museums are offering its residents free access to all permanent exhibits on Nov 19.

Every 3rd Wednesday of the month, exhibition halls and galleries are free of charge in the Vologda Region. The museum admission is free for Vologda’s schoolchildren and students and residents of the region.

Over 1,000,000 tourists have visited Vologda Region since the beginning of the year.

The Vologda Region boasts a steady and significant growth in the tourist flow: in the first nine months of 2025, 1.2 million tourists have visited the region, which is 58.4% more than in the same period of 2024.

Vologda is in the top three of the popular vote for the "Cultural Capital 2027" title.

The winner of the Cultural Capital of Russia 2027 competition will be announced on December 14. The final decision will be made by the organizing committee, based on the combined results of the expert evaluation and public voting. The public voting will last till December 5.
