An international festival named after Valery Gavrilin, the great Russian composer opened in Vologda on Oct 19 with a concert dedicated to the musician. Valery Gavrilin was born in Vologda and travelled extensively in order to pursue his study of folk music.
The Vologda Region demonstrates the quality and environmental friendliness of the top-quality Vologda products made with local raw materials and using traditional methods - dairy products, world famous Vologda butter, sausage, confectionery, honey and others. This year, Vologda Made Product exhibition-fair is to be held on December 16.
