Museum of Architecture and Ethnography Semyonkovo will host Russian Hunting festival on August 12.

The Russian Hunting festival will be held for the second time on the territory of the Museum of Architecture and Ethnography Semyonkovo.

Delegation from Vologda Region is to take part in an International Children’s Cultural Forum.

On the 10th of August, the International Children's Cultural Forum organized by the Russian Ministry of Culture will start in Moscow. The purpose of the forum is to identify and recognize talented children who have shown outstanding abilities in the field of culture and art. The forum also aims to open up new opportunities for intercultural dialogue.

First Deputy Governor Dmitry Gorbachyov presenred workers of the construction industry with state awards.

Prior to the Construction Worker’s Day, current and former builders of the Vologda Region were presented with state awards.

Vologda’s ice-cream was delivered to the Republic of Senegal, a country in West Africa, on the Atlantic Ocean coastline.

Under the contracts signed, the “Vologda Ice-Cream”, Vologda-based ice cream manufacturer, exported 16,3 tons of its ice-cream to Senegal. In 2023, the export of ice-cream to this country amounted to 77.7 tons.

Next weekend, Totma, located in the eastern part of the Vologda Region will mark its 886-year birthday.

On August 12 Totma, one of the oldest cities of the Vologda Region will celebrate its 886th birthday. The city is often called a museum in the open air.

More than 4,000 Vologda’s residents and guests of the city attended concerts and performances of "Summer in the Kremlin" project.

“Summer in the Kremlin” covers different genres and styles of music Concerts and performances during the festival take place in the open air in the unique historical-architectural environment of the Vologda Kremlin.

Ustyuzhna hosted XV Blacksmith Festival "Zheleznoye Pole" on August  4-5.

This year "Zheleznoye Pole" (Iron Field) was dedicated to the Year of the teacher and mentor. It was aimed at developing the brand "Ustyuzhna - the city of blacksmiths", popularization of blacksmithing craft in the Vologda Region, exchange of experience and creative communication of craftsmen.

IX All-Russian Folklore Festival "The Village - the Soul of Russia" will be held in Vologda District next year.

The Vologda District will host the Folklore Festival for the second time. It was held here several years ago, on 18-20 August, 2019.

VIII Russian Folklore Festival "Village - the Soul of Russia" was held in Verkhovazhye District, Vologda Region.

32 folk groups and 20 craftsmen participated in Russian Folklore Festival on August 4-6. Craftsmen represented traditions and skills of wood carving, weaving, folk dolls, wood painting, patchwork, lace making and pottery. Folklore groups arrived in Verkhovazhye to share the cultural values and heritage of their ancestors through music and dance.
