Sweet condensed milk (sgushchenka) is very popular in Russia. This gooey, sweet treat was a Soviet staple. Condensed milk is cow's milk from which water has been removed. It is used in cooking, for making creams for cakes and pastries.
Vologda Made Product, a trademark of staple products produced on the territory of the region was registered on June 9, 2003. It can be considered an established gastronomic brand of the region.
