The young accordionist from the Vologda Musical College Alexander Komelkov appeared among the best performers in the 64th international accordionists’ competition Trophee Mondiale organised in Kaunas, Lithuania on September 23-28, 2014. He took the first place.

IV International Gavrilin Festival is to be held in Vologda from October 1 through December 2, 2014.
The festival is named after Valery Gavrilin, the great Russian composer, People's artist of Russia who was born in Vologda.
