By the decree of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, the Saint Sophia Cathedral in Vologda was elevated to Cathedral status.
The Forum is organized by the Vologda Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Department of Agriculture and Food Stocks of the Vologda Oblast.
The forum is arranged as part of the Lesdrevmash Exhibition on October 20-23. Being the event of national level, the Lesdrevmash Exhibition reflects in detail peculiarities of Russian timber processing complex development, its tendencies, aims, problems and way for solving.
The presentation of the colorful restoration of the interior of a sturdy log and wooden house from the 19th century, the so-called Kopylov house took place on October 16th. The Kopylov house joined an outdoor museum on the outskirts – the Museum of Architecture and Ethnography in Semyokovo five years ago.
On October 16, Vologda’s Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov and head of Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov signed an agreement on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation between the regions.
