A document signed by the Governor of the Vologda region Oleg Kuvshinnikov and General Director of JSC "FosAgro" Andrey Guriev, aims to contribute to sustainable development of agro-industrial complex of the Vologda region and is an example of an effective mechanism of public-private partnerships.

On February 25, 2016 the exhibition 'To Live Or To Write. Varlam Shalamov' opened at the International Memorial Society in Moscow. Its German curators, Kristina Links and Wilfred F. Scheller, worked on developing the exhibition over several years in close collaboration with Russian museums and archives.

Russian Segezha Group's subsidiary Sokolsky DOK (Sokol Woodworking Plant) gradually explores export markets. The enterprise carried out first supplies of its glulam beam houses to Latvia. 7 prefab house sets whose total volume reached 900 m3 were shipped to the country, reports Segezha Group in its press-release.

The modern mythical figure of Santa Claus has gone a long way since Saint Nicholas, the fourth-century Greek bishop and gift-giver of Myra which served as folklore inspiration. Today, Santa Claus conjures the image of a jovial, red-nosed, round-bellied, red-suited, bearded figure, but this doesn’t apply to all of the world. Russia and many other Slavic countries, particularly in Eastern Europe, have their own version of Santa Claus called Ded Moroz.
