Vologda Region Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov joined International Victory Dictation campaign.

On the eve of Victory Day celebrated in Russia on May 9th, Mr. Kuvshinnikov wrote a Victory Dictation concerning the history of the Great Patriotic War.
The event is timed to coincide with the Day of the end of World War II. More than 22,000 sites were prepared for its holding, in Russia and other states. Victory Dictation was held in more than 40 countries in seven languages – Russian, Chinese, Serbian, Spanish, German, French and English.
On April 27th, about 200 venues opened in the Vologda Region at schools, in local universities, museums and libraries. Everyone was welcome to join it, regardless of age and place of residence.
The International Historical Action Victory Dictation, dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War is supported by Russia’s Ministry of Education.
The main objective of the action is to involve the general public in the study of the history of the Great Patriotic War, increase historical literacy and patriotic education of the younger generation.
