Vologda Region and Republic of Karelia signed a cooperative agreement.

Today the top leadership of the Vologda Region and the Republic of Karelia held a meeting within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The meeting addressed the necessity of signing a cooperative agreement in trade, economic, scientific, social and cultural spheres. Among the significant events that took place during the forum was signing this agreement.
The Vologda Region and the Republic of Karelia have been sustaining partnership ties for years in such fields as culture, gasification and transport infrastructure.
The heads of the regions agreed that longstanding economic and cultural ties between the Vologda Oblast and the Republic of Karelia will get stronger.
