Vologda Oblast Governor congratulates Vologda’s Fire Service on Firefighters' Day.

On the eve of April 30th, Firefighters’ Day, Oleg Kuvshinnikov congratulated Vologda’s Fire Service on this professional holiday, the day of founding of Russia’s Firefighting force. The first fire service in Russia was established by Czar Alexey Mikhailovich under signed decree named "Direction on Municipal rescue", which signed on April 30, 1649, in Moscow.
It is an all risk service. Firefighters help tackle unprecedented wildfires. The State Fire Service divisions participate in numerous operations a year, rescue people’s lives and save property.
