Vologda Oblast Governor chaired a meeting of Counter-Terrorism Committee.

After St. Petersburg metro explosion Vologda Oblast Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov chaired a meeting of Counter-Terrorism Committee. Mr. Kuvshinnikov asked to strengthen security measures in public transportation and in places of a mass congestion of people.
At least 11 people were killed in a blast on the St. Petersburg metro on April 3rd. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev described the attack as a "terrorist act."
A bomb exploded in a subway car as it was traveling between two metro stations in Russia's second-largest city at about 3 pm Moscow time. A second, larger device was found and defused at another station. Alongside the dead, 51 people were injured in the incident.
