Vologda and Moscow Regions will cooperate in all socio-economic spheres.

Acting Governor of the Vologda Region Georgy Filimonov and Governor of the Moscow Region Andrey Vorobyov signed an agreement on trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural partnership between the two regions at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
"For us, this cooperation is, first of all, socially significant and, at the same time, it opens up new opportunities for improvement in trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural areas. The Vologda Region Government is ready to support initiatives of the Moscow Region in all spheres of socio-economic activity, which will help strengthen and preserve our long term partnership," said Georgy Filimonov, Acting Governor of the Vologda Region.
In particular, the parties agreed to share their experiences concerning the development of such spheres as healthcare, education, science, housing and communal services, tourism, and culture. In addition, the regions will help each other in training personnel for priority sectors of the economy and develop joint projects in these areas.
"The Moscow Region is always open to cooperation with other countries, and especially the regions of our country. In April, we launched a joint project with China and Kazakhstan, within the framework of which we also plan to develop transport and logistics routes with the Vologda Region.," Andrei Vorobyov said.
