Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov was formally sworn into office today during an inauguration ceremony at the Vologda Region Government.

45 new school buses will be bought for Vologda Region.
Schoolchildren in the Vologda Region will be riding on brand new school buses thanks to money the region received from the federal budget.
Five candidates were admitted and confirmed for gubernatorial election: Oleg Kuvshinnikov (acting governor), Olga Shirikova, Margarita Savoskina, Aleksei Ryleev and Vadim Petrienko.
The unique paper machine is launched at Sukhona paper-producing mill in Sokol, Vologda Region. The mill, which is to be launched under an investment worth some RUR 2,7 bln, is expected to provide 113 new high-tech jobs.
The participants of the video conference briefed on the implementation of the priority national project Education that was conceived to modernise regional secondary education systems. The Education national project, approved by the May decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2018, is due to be implemented between 2019 and 2024. The national project is tasked to ensure global competitiveness of Russian education. It aims to create comfortable and modern conditions for children and students.
