The prospects for the development of the Russian-Belarusian machine-building cluster at the Cherepovets industrial site were discussed in Minsk at a working meeting of President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko and Governor of the Vologda Region Oleg Kuvshinnikov.

Within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum Mr. Kuvshinnikov met with top leadership of Sistema, the publicly-traded diversified holding company in Russia and the CIS. The main objective of the meeting was to discuss development of timber industry in the Vologda Region.

On the first day of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum the top leadership of the Vologda Region Government, Vnesheconombank and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives signed a Memorandum of cooperation. The document envisages cooperation of the parties in support of investment activities in the Vologda Region.
