Renovation of the Vologda Kremlin has started.
Restoration of two objects that are part of the Vologda Kremlin has started today - the Pyatnitskaya Tower and the Northern Wall built at the end of the XVII century. 75.8 mln rubles will be allocated from the regional budget for the restoration of these two objects.

Vologda Region and India will step up economic cooperation.
Cooperation of Vologda Region and India was discussed at the Vologda Region Government. First Deputy Governor Dmitry Gorbachyov had a meeting with Mr. Kumar Gaurav, Consul General of India in St. Petersburg.

32 folk groups and 20 craftsmen participated in Russian Folklore Festival on August 4-6. Craftsmen represented traditions and skills of wood carving, weaving, folk dolls, wood painting, patchwork, lace making and pottery. Folklore groups arrived in Verkhovazhye to share the cultural values and heritage of their ancestors through music and dance.
