Russian state decorations have been awarded in Vologda on the eve of the country’s national holiday, Independence Day that is marked on June 12.
Oleg Kuvshinnikov presented orders, medals and honorary title certificates to outstanding Vologda's residents for their tangible contribution to socio-economic and cultural development of the region.
Orders, medals and certificate conferring honorary titles have been awarded to mayors of Vologda and Cherepovets, to prominent figures from the culture and arts world, health care system, agriculture, education professionals, policemen and representatives of other professions.
