This year sees the 81st anniversary of the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in 1945, and the annual military parade and Immortal Regiment march will take place in the Vologda Region.
On Victory Day, residents of Vologda will join the so-called 'Immortal Regiment' march, carrying photographs of their relatives in memory of those who took part in World War II in 1941-1945.
The Immortal Regiment parade always follows Russia's annual Victory Day parade, which marks the anniversary of the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in World War Two.
The Immortal Regiment movement unites many people throughout Russia aiming to pay tribute to their relatives perished during the years of the war. It is a demonstration of respect our people have for the older generation.
